The Engagement Photoshoot | Voyageur Park - De Pere, WI
On a hot, summer evening Nicole and Brandon accompanied me for engagement photos at Voyageur Park in De Pere. We started the session off in the hot evening sun, but ended on a lovely, comfortable note.
A storm was passing in the distance which made for a once-in-lifetime shot that showed the contrast between storms and serenity. These two showed their affection on a tiny dock in order to get a photo that cannot be replicated.
One unique part of our shoot was that the dandelions had just “bloomed” and little bulbs of fuzz blanketed the ground. We used this to our advantage and got some amazing texture in a set of candid and traditional photos. Settings like this are rare, and the timing has to be just right.
Though neither of them have professionally modeled in their adult years, one would not be able to tell based on how these two looked at the camera during the shoot. Nicole and Brandon are real, authentic and genuine. Which is exactly what makes great photos.
It’s photo shoots like these and evenings like this that make me so thankful I am a professional wedding photographer. Thank you, Nicole and Brandon, for choosing me to take your photos. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.
I am looking forward to photographing your wedding next May and hope that we can replicate the good weather and perfect smiles we had this spring.
